Completed in 1887 for Dr. Henry Machell, one of the founders of The Hospital for Sick Children; designed by architect D.B. Dick.  In 1920, the Salvation Army converted the house into a women's shelter known as Catherine Booth Rescue Home.  Since World War II, the house has served as a childcare centre.  The Westside Montessori School currently operates out of the house.
