Fire Hall No. 9 was decommissioned in the late 1960s, and it is the oldest intact fire hall in the former City of Toronto.

Beginning in 2019 the City will restore the exterior of the building, and is looking for the original clocks that adorned the tower. It is unknown when the clocks were removed or where they ended up.
