129 McCaul Street / 298 Dundas Street West was constructed in 1891 as part of a row of 4 commercial buildings belonging to Mr. Ottawa Tolliver.  


Between 1912 and 1913, Anderson Street (now Dundas Street West) was widened. This resulted in the southern portion of the originally original building being demolished. The southern elevation of the remaining building was then rebuilt.
