McVeigh's Irish Pub
Notes:
The southwest corner of Church Street and Richmond Street East has been the site of a bar, hotel, saloon, and/or tavern since the late 1850s.

The present 4-story brick building dates to 1882 and was designed by noted Toronto architect David Roberts Jr. It was originally known as the Windsor Hotel. The extant 1882 building replaced an earlier wooden frame building that dated to the 1850s.

The Windsor Hotel became the New Windsor Hotel around 1911. The name changed again to New Windsor House Ltd. around 1959, although the name New Windsor Hotel was still used in the early 1960s. The present establishment - McVeigh's Irish Pub - has been in business since 1962.
