This Ontario Cottage was built around 1890 on land owned by Neil Bain. Bain was a “market gardener” who had immigrated to Toronto in 1855 and settled in the community of Riverdale. As he sold his land to developers he picked names for new streets after his family and memories from home, including the street this house is on - Dingwall - named after his hometown in Scotland.
