This building was originally constructed for the Toronto Athletic Club. It was altered in 1900 and became the Central Technical School. Later, it served as police headquarters for the City of Toronto, then a divisional headquarters. It was renovated in 1979 to house the Ontario College of Art and Design. The college moved out of the building around 2002.
